This lovely young woman came today for treatment. She was nervous because she hasn't had much treatment before, but she needed a filling because of tooth decay on two teeth. She really wanted treatment that would be simple but look as natural as possible. We agreed to go just a touch lighter than her natural shade so that should she ever need to have it removed it will look different to the natural tooth and be as conservative as possible. Here is the tooth before we started treatment. The dark shadowy area is what tooth decay looks like before a true hole forms.
Once we cleared out that decay we used a dam to keep the tooth really dry while we placed the filling. And here was the result for the top tooth.
We were really pleased to achieve a natural result for this patient, and now that we have identified the cause of the original problem, hopefully this will be the last treatment for a long time!
